SWAP Mobility Pilot Project - Leonardo da Vinci II Second Phase 2000-06

Development and promotion of common methodologies for the reciprocal recognition of professional qualifications in the building sector within the process of modularisation of permanent training.

The project is promoted by the Ente Scuola Edile per la Formazzione e Sicurezza della Provincia di Reggio Calabria and has partners from Bulgaria and Germany. Malta is represented by Heritage Malta (leader) and the University of Malta. The aims are to define elements for the modularisation of professional training through the identification of five levels starting from vocational training and leading to university level.

A training manual containing common construction techniques and methodologies for adult education and student training in the respective building sector is being produced. The final report will draw up common proposals of recognisable training modules and working experiences, and a system of training credits for professional qualification in the building sector.
