The project has an integrated approach for management and development. Under material and immaterial heritage fall cultural aspects like natural and man-made landscapes, buildings and monuments, economic activities related to heritage, festivals. The project is directed at decision-makers, small and medium enterprise and the local population to enhance the cultural and environmental potential, the tourism infrastructure, and transport facilities. Delta is the offspring of PISA ( http://www.euromedheritage.net/en/euromedheritage/eh1/pisa.htm ) , but whereas PISA applied an integrated management approach to the narrow surroundings of a few archaeological sites, Delta applies that methodology on a substantial regional basis in Algeria, the West Bank, Israel, Malta and Morocco.
