There has never
been a more exciting time to work in the cultural heritage sector
on the Islands. Heritage Malta is a young organisation in its
first year of operations and has numerous goals and ambitions
to realise. We work in close liaison with many other sectors,
such as tourism, business and education, and with numerous non-governmental
organisations, both locally and internationally.
Our staff comprises mainly those of our forerunner, the Department
of Museums. However, our remit, defined under the Cultural
Heritage Act (2002) is far wider than that of our predecessor.
Heritage Malta has a role to play in many aspects of Malta’s
national cultural heritage: in its management, interpretation,
conservation and marketing. We are therefore on the look out
for motivated and qualified personnel to help us fulfil our
aims in all these fields.
